The Traffic Conference in
English due on 26th November at the Nerja Cultural Centre in C/ Granada has been
changed for unforeseen reasons to Wednesday 3rd December at 12:00h.

REMINDER:
GARAGE / CAR ENTRANCE TAX 2006 TO BE PAID UNTIL 9TH JANUARY
Owners of a garage entrance
or a gate permitting the access of a car are liable to pay this tax until 9th
January. The Town Hall is now charging for year 2006 as there has been a delay
in issuing the receipts. In several months, we will issue 2007 and 2008 until we
catch up. Many garage owners are not aware of this tax and are receiving
surcharges for not having paid the past years. The most advisable is to make a
bank order for this receipt to be paid.
If you have not received the
invoice by post, please collect it at the Nerja Tax Office, Patronato
de Recaudación, at C/ Cristo 14 (near the Post Office).

OPENING
OF A NEW CHAPEL OF REST IN NERJA
The funeral company La
Nacional has just opened in Nerja a new Chapel of Rest, Tanatorio,
beside the Cemetery in Avda. de Pescia. The Chapel of Rest is available for
anyone who wishes to use it, independently from which insurance company you may
have. If the Chapel of Rest services are not included in your funeral insurance,
you can also make use of it by paying the corresponding price.

COLLECTION
OF OLD FURNITURE
When you have old furniture,
you can either take it to the “Punto Limpio” site where old furniture is
dumped, or even better, if the furniture is in good conditions, you can give it
to the charity Cancer Association Cudeca. They will collect the furniture
directly at your house and take it to their charity shop. Please phone Tony at

DE FECHA DE LA CONFERENCIA DE TRÁFICO EN INGLÉS
AL 3 DE DICIEMBRE A LAS 12:00H
Por
razones imprevistas, la Conferencia de Tráfico en inglés prevista para el 26
de Noviembre en el Centro Cultural de Nerja en C/ Granada, por razones
imprevistas se ha cambiado al miércoles 3 de Diciembre a las 12:00h.

RECORDATORIO:
IMPUESTO DE ENTRADA DE VEHÍCULOS 2006 A PAGAR HASTA EL 9 DE ENERO.
Los
propietarios de una entrada a un garaje o una verja que permita el acceso de un
coche tienen hasta el 9 de Enero para pagar este impuesto. El Ayuntamiento está
cobrando ahora el año 2006 ya que ha habido un retraso en la emisión de los
recibos. In varios meses, se facturará el año 2007 y el 2008 hasta ponernos al
día. Muchos propietarios de garajes no están informados que deben pagar este
impuesto y están teniendo recargos por no haber pagado años anteriores. Es
aconsejable hacer una domiciliación bancaria para que se paguen esto recibo.
Si
no ha recibido la notificación por correo, puede recogerla en la Oficina de
Recaudación en C/ Cristo 14 (cerca de la
Oficina de Correos).

INAUGURACIÓN
DEL NUEVO TANATORIO EN NERJA
La
funeraria La Nacional ha inaugurado el nuevo Tanatorio en Nerja junto al
cementerio en Avda. de Pescia. El Tanatorio está disponible para cualquiera que
desee usarlo, independientemente de la compañía aseguradora a la que
pertenezca. Si el servicio de Tanatorio no está incluido en su seguro de
defunción, también puede utilizarlo pagando el precio correspondiente. Para

RECOGIDA
DE MUEBLES VIEJOS
Cuando
tengan muebles viejos, pueden llevarlos o al Punto Limpio, lugar donde se tiran
los muebles viejos, o mejor aún, si los muebles están en buenas condiciones,
los pueden dar a Cudeca, Asociación benéfica contra el cáncer. Ellos recogerán
los muebles directamente en su casa y se los llevarán a la tienda benéfica que

PATRIMONIO
TAX 214 FOR FOREIGN NON RESIDENTS STILL TO BE PAID.
Many Non Residents are asking
us if they have to pay Patrimonio Tax, as they have heard that this tax has been
cancelled. We have phoned Hacienda (the Inland Revenue Office) who has confirmed
the following:

The
Non Residents tax declaration for 2007, (to be presented this year as you
declare for the previous year), has not
been changed. Consequently, all Non Residents still have to fill in and pay
the 214 Patrimonio tax form this year.
·
In
the tax declaration for 2008, (to be presented in 2009), only Residents will not
pay the part corresponding to Patrimonio. This could also be extended to Non
Residents, but at present, it has not been confirmed. As soon as we have more
news, we will inform you.
The 214 tax form including a
translation of how to fill it in, is available at the Nerja Foreigners
Department at the price of 1 €.

PAYMENT
DATE FOR IBI TAX 2008 (GENERAL RATES) EXTENDED UNTIL 17TH NOVEMBER
The last day for paying the
2008 IBI tax will be on 17th November. From this date onwards there will be a
20% surcharge. We recommend you make a bankers order for next year at the Tax
Office is C/ Cristo 14 (near the Post Office).

LOS
EXTRANJEROS NO RESIDENTES AÚN DEBEN PAGAR EL IMPUESTO DEL PATRIMONIO 214
Muchos
extranjeros No Residentes nos preguntan si aún deben pagar el Impuesto del
Patrimonio ya que han escuchado que se había cancelado este impuesto. Hemos
llamado a Hacienda y nos comunican lo siguiente:

La
declaración de 2007 para No Residentes, (que se presenta este año
ya que se declara con respecto al año anterior), no
ha cambiando. Consecuentemente, todos los No Residentes deben rellenar el
formulario 214 y pagar el impuesto del Patrimonio este año.
·
En
la declaración de 2008, (que se presentará en 2009), sólo los Residentes no
pagarán la parte correspondiente al Patrimonio. Esto se podría extender también
para los No Residentes, pero al día de hoy, aún no está confirmado. En cuanto
tengamos más noticias, les informaremos.
El
formulario 214 de Patrimonio junto con una traducción de cómo se rellena está
disponible en el Departamento de Extranjeros de Nerja al precio de 1 €.

AMPLIADO
EL PLAZO DE PAGO DEL IMPUESTO DE IBI 2008 HASTA EL 17 DE NOVIEMBRE
El
último día para pagar el IBI será el 17 de Noviembre. A partir de esta fecha
tendrá un recargo del 20%. Les recomendamos que domicilie este recibo para el
próximo año en la Oficina de Recaudación en C/ Cristo 14, (cerca de Correos).

GAS COMPANIES VISITING NERJA AGAIN WITH INCORRECT
PROCEDURES
Once again as every month, there are several gas companies visiting Nerja
to make the gas revision. Also once again, we have many people coming to our
office complaining of the bad experience and very high cost they have paid to
these gas companies. It seems that nobody takes any notice of the many times
that the Nerja Foreigners Departments advices NOT TO LET ANY GAS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOUSE. The gas companies
that come knocking on your door and pushing themselves into your house by
menaces are not acting correctly. PLEASE
SAY NO.
The gas revision must only be made every 5 years and it is the owner who
has to contact directly with the gas revision company to make an appointment for
them to come to your house. A normal gas revision for changing the tubes and the
gas hut will cost around 60 € and not the amount of 200 € or more that these
incorrect companies charge. If any major installation is required, you must be
previously informed of the price with a quotation and sign the agreement before.
In Nerja there are 2 official gas revision companies with a settled
office: Repsol and Cepsa. Owners who have orange gas bottles must contact the
premises of García & Hijos at C/ Antonio Millón 8, telephone 952 52 4195.
Owners who have silver gas bottles must contac the premises of Servigas
in C/ Ruperto Andúez 13. These companies will give you all the necessary
guarantees.

BUYING THE INFORMATION BOOK “LIVING IN NERJA”
The Nerja Foreigners Department has newly published the general
information book “Living in Nerja” fourth edition, a very appreciated guide
book in English, German, French or Spanish.
Advice is given on the most important aspects that a person buying a
property or residing in Spain should know. i.e. Residence or NIE, medical health
system, driving a car with a foreign driving licence or plate number, taxes from
the Town Hall and inland revenue. The price of this book is of 1€ and is
available at the Town Hall Foreigners Department (ground floor), open Mondays
and Thursdays from 10:00 to 13:30. You may also phone us the other days on 95
254 8401.
Also the Foreigners Department will be delighted to advice you and solve
or give information on any problems you may have. Before buying a property,
please visit us so we may inform you of the necessary requirements so as not to
have bad experiences and buy your house with all the guarantees. Many foreigners
come and see us once the problem has arisen and this could be avoided just by
visiting us previous to any purchase. The laws in Spain are different from
England and many foreigners that come to live here are unaware of the procedures
and taxes they should pay.

COMPAÑÍAS DE GAS QUE VISITAN NUEVAMENTE NERJA CON
PROCEDIMIENTOS INCORRECTOS
Una vez más
como cada mes, hay varias compañías de gas visitando Nerja para efectuar la
revisión. Asimismo, muchas personas vienen a nuestra oficina para quejarse de
la mala experiencia y del elevado precio que han pagado a estas compañías de
gas. Parece ser que no se hace caso de las muchas ocasiones en que el
Departamento de Extranjeros aconseja de NO
DEJAR NINGUNA COMPAÑÍA DE GAS ENTRAR A SU CASA. Las compañías de gas
que vienen llamando a su puerta y entran a la fuerza en su casa con amenazas no
están actuando correctamente. DIGA
QUE NO.
La revisión
del gas sólo debe hacerse cada 5 años y es el propietario quien tiene que
contactar directamente con la compañía de revisión de gas y hacer una cita
para que vengan a su casa. Una revisión de gas normal cuesta aproximadamente 60
€ y no la cantidad de 200 € o más que estas compañías incorrectas cobran.
Si se requiere hacer una instalación mayor, le deben informar previamente del
precio con un presupuesto y seguidamente firmarlo.
En Nerja hay 2
compañías de revisión de gas oficiales con una oficina ya establecida: Repsol
y Cepsa. Los propietarios que tengan botellas de gas naranja deben contactar a
García & Hijos en C/ Antonio Millón 8, teléfono 952 52 4195. Los
propietarios de bombonas plateadas deben contactar a Servigas en C/ Ruperto Andúez
13. Estas empresas le darán todas las garantías.

COMPRAR EL LIBRO DE INFORMACIÓN “VIVIR EN NERJA”
El
Departamento de Extranjeros recientemente ha editado el libro de información
general “Vivir en Nerja, 4ª edición, una guía muy valiosa en inglés, alemán,
francés y español.
Se da consejo
sobre los aspectos más importantes que se debe saber sobre comprar una vivienda
o vivir en España, p.ej. Residencia o NIE, Seguridad Social, conducir un coche
con carnet o matrícula extranjeros, impuestos municipales y Hacienda. El precio
de este libro es de 1 € y podrá adquirirlo en el Departamento de Extranjeros
del Ayuntamiento (planta baja) los lunes y jueves de 10:00 a 13:30h. También
nos pueden llamar los demás días al 95 254 8401.
Asimismo, el
Departamento de Extranjeros le dará consejos e información para ayudarle a
resolver o evitar posibles problemas que puedan tener. Antes de comprar una
vivienda, no dude en visitarnos para que le podamos informar de los requisitos
necesarios para no tener malas experiencias y comprar su casa con todas las
garantías. Las leyes en España son distintas a las de Reino Unido y muchos
extranjeros que vienen a vivir aquí desconocen los procedimientos a realizar y
los impuestos que deben pagar.

LOCAL DUMPS
FOR OLD FURNITURE, RUBBLE AND GARDEN PRUNING
Old Furniture:
Please take your old furniture to the
“Punto Limpio” next to the Castillo Alto industrial area (going up from the
entrance bridge towards the motorway autovia,
the 3rd roundabout on the left). This is a free service and you can deposit as
much old furniture as necessary.
Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays 10:00
to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:00.
Saturdays: 10:00 to 14:00.
There is also a town collection service
of small pieces of furniture that will be taken away on the following day.
Previously, you must inform where and what will be deposited by phoning 95 254
8400 Mondays to Thursdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 19:00 and Fridays
from 10:00 to 14:00. These small objects must be placed by the nearest container
only at night from 22:00h onwards and
not during weekends. Objects must not
be left in front of any house where there is no container or adequate space. Big
furniture will not be collected. Fines will be imposed to those who leave
old furniture unduly.
Construction Rubble and Garden Pruning:
It is not permitted to throw Construction Rubble and Garden Pruning in any
piece of land or in front of any house. It must be taken to a specific place in
“Rio de la Miel”. This area is situated 6 Kms east from Nerja on the main
road N340 just before the El Cañuelo Beach, turning on the left, then going up
to the old quarry, la cantera. All
local builders know where this place is.
The opening times of the quarry dump of
Rio de la Miel are:
Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 to 14:00 and
15:00 to 19:00.
Saturdays: 08:00 to 14:00.
Price per van: 5 €.
Fines will be imposed to those who throw
rubble or garden pruning anywhere else in the town and to not take it to Rio de
la Miel.

FILMS IN
ENGLISH OR IN THEIR ORIGINAL LANGUAGE AT THE CINECLUB OF THE CULTURAL CENTRE IN
CALLE GRANADA.
A wide range of films in English or in
their original language and subtitled in Spanish will be given at the Cineclub
in the Cultural Centre of Calle Granada. The programme can be collected at the
Cultural Centre or be downloaded from the Town Hall Foreigners Department web

GARAGE
ENTRANCE TAX 2006 FROM 3rd NOVEMBER TO 9th JANUARY
All owners of a garage entrance or car
gate or access are liable to pay this tax. We will now be charging year 2006 as
there has been some delay in the receipts and will be catching up possibly
charging the following years shortly.
Many owners are unaware of this tax and
are surcharged with an additional 20% for not paying it on the corresponding
dates. If payment is delayed, your bank account can be frozen with an embargo.
Please check at the Nerja Tax Office, Recaudacion,
C/ Cristo 14, (near the Post Office) as many people de not receive the payment
notification.

BARS AND
RESTAURANTS APPLYING FOR TERRACE CHAIRS AND TABLES OR OTHER ITEMS FOR 2009
Bars and restaurants wishing to apply for
terrace chairs and tables licences or other street items for next 2009 must
apply at the Town Hall at the reception office of the ground floor of the Town
Hall (Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 to 14:00).
Licences for the whole year, January to
December 2009: To be applied for before December 15th 2008.
Licences for the high season, Abril to
September 2009: To be applied for before February 27th 2009.
Requirements:
1) A certificate of having no local taxes
pending. To be applied for at the Nerja Tax Office, Recaudacion, by the Post Office.
2) Photocopy of the business opening
licence.

ESPACIOS PÚBLICOS
MUNICIPALES PARA DEPOSITAR MUEBLES VIEJOS, ESCOMBROS Y PODA DE JARDINES
Muebles
Viejos:
Deberán llevar sus muebles viejos al Punto Limpio situado junto
a la zona industrial de Castillo Alto, (subiendo desde el puente de la entrada
de Nerja hacia la autovía, la 3ª rotonda a la izquierda). Este servicio es
gratuito y pueden dejar todos sus muebles viejos.
Horario: Lunes a viernes de 10:00 a 14:00 y de 17:00 a 19:00.
Sábados: de 10:00 a 14:00.
Asimismo, hay un servicio municipal de recogida de muebles viejos
pequeños que serán retirados al día siguiente. Previamente, debe informar del
lugar y de los objetos que depositará llamando al 95 254 84 00, lunes a jueves
de 10:00 a 14:00 h y de 17:00 a 19:00; y los viernes de 10:00 a 14:00.
Estos muebles viejos pequeños deben colocarse junto al
contenedor de basura más cercano, sólo
por las noches a partir de las 22:00h y no durante los fines de semana. No se deben dejar los muebles
delante de cualquier casa donde no haya contenedores o un espacio adecuado para
ello. No se retirarán muebles grandes.
Se multará a quien deje los muebles indebidamente.
Escombros y Poda de jardines:
No
está permitido
tirar escombros o poda de jardines en cualquier terreno o delante de cualquier
casa. Se deben llevar a un lugar específico situado in Río de la Miel. Esta
zona está a 6 Km. al este de Nerja, en la CN340, girando a la izquierda justo
antes de llegar a la Playa El Cañuelo. Luego subir hasta la vieja cantera.
Todos los albañiles de Nerja conocen este lugar.
El horario de apertura de la cantera de Río de la Miel es:
Lunes a Viernes: 08:00 a 14:00 y 15:00 a 19:00.
Sábados: 08:00 a 14:00.
Precio por furgoneta: 5 €.
Se pondrán multas a las personas que tiren escombros o poda de
jardines en cualquier otro lugar del pueblo y no los lleven a Río de la Miel.

INGLÉS O EL IDIOMA DE ORIGEN EN EL CINE CLUB DEL CENTRO CULTURAL EN C/ GRANADA

IMPUESTO DE
ENTRADA DE VEHÍCULOS 2006 DEL 3 DE NOVIEMBRE AL 9 DE ENERO
Los propietarios de un garaje o una verja que permita el acceso
de un vehículo deben pagar este impuesto. Actualmente estamos cobrando el año
2006 ya que ha habido un retraso al emitir los recibos y próximamente se cobrarán
los años siguientes.
Muchos propietarios desconocen este impuesto y se les incrementa
el recibo con un recargo del 20% por no haber pagado en las fechas
correspondientes. Si los pagos se retrasan, su banco puede llegar a embargar las
cuentas. Rogamos se informen en la Oficina de Recaudación en C/ Cristo 14 (cerca
de la Oficina de Correos) ya que muchos propietarios no reciben el aviso de pago.

LICENCIA PARA INSTALAR MESAS Y SILLAS DE TERRAZA U OTROS OBJETOS PARA BARES Y
RESTAURANTES EN 2009
Los bares y restaurantes que deseen obtener licencia para
instalar mesas y sillas u otros objetos en la calle para el año 2009 deben
solicitarlo en la Ventanilla Única del Ayuntamiento, planta baja (lunes a
viernes de 09:00 a 14:00).
Las licencias para todo el año de Enero a Diciembre de 2009 se
solicitarán antes del 15 de Diciembre 2008.
Las licencias para la temporada alta de Abril a Septiembre de
2009 se solicitarán antes del 27 de Febrero 2009.
Requisitos:
1)
Aportar
un certificado que no tiene deudas municipales pendientes, que se obtiene en la
Oficina de Recaudación de Nerja (junto a Correos en C/ Cristo 14).
2)
Fotocopia
de la licencia de apertura del negocio.
